Medjay Host is a PMS with a direct booking engine built into it, so the website and the front desk share one set of availability rather than two.

Does it connect to Booking.com and the other OTAs?

Yes. Host includes a channel manager, so rates and availability stay in step across the channels you choose to sell through, and their bookings arrive in the same reservations list as your direct ones.

Do you take a commission on bookings?

No. Commission is 0% on every booking, including the ones the booking engine wins for you. Payments run through the property’s own merchant account, so Medjay is never in the money path.

Can I run it from my phone?

Yes, and this is deliberate. Host installs as a real app on a phone and on a desktop — the whole system, not a reduced companion version of it. It installs from your own web address rather than an app store, nothing of yours is stored on the handset, and there is still no VPN profile on the device.

How big a property does it handle?

Plans are banded by rooms — up to 15, 45, 75 and 150 keys — and properties above the top band are priced per additional key at a published rate. Nothing is quoted behind a "call us".

Do the reports cost extra?

No. All 35 reports ship with every deployment, at every plan level, in PDF, Excel and XML. Reporting depth is not something we sell back to you.

Medjay Host installs as a real app, on a phone and on a desktop — its own icon, its own window, no browser bar. Not a cut-down companion with three screens: the whole system. An owner can approve a rate, read last night's audit or check today's arrivals from the car park, the airport or another property entirely.

It installs from your own web address in two taps — no app store, no review queue, no IT visit — and nothing of yours is kept on the device. No folios, no guest records, no card details: every screen is fetched live, and sessions expire on their own and can be ended centrally. A lost handset loses an icon, not a database.

And still no VPN. A hosted deployment is simply a web address; a property running its own instance is reached through a named private tunnel behind its own sign-in — a one-time code to an approved address, and a session that closes itself — with nothing installed on the device to make that work.

A front desk that runs the whole property

Reservations, arrivals and departures, in-house guests, room moves and rate changes all work the way a hotelier expects them to. Rooms are real inventory with rate codes, seasons and meal-plan pricing behind them, so a quote and a charge cannot drift apart — modifying a stay re-prices it properly and shows you the difference before you commit.

Guest folios split where real life demands it: bill the room to a travel agent and the extras to the guest, each window carrying its own tax. Housekeeping gets attendants, a public-areas register and a printed sheet per person. F&B charges post from the outlets straight to the folio.

The booking engine sits on your own website, takes a card or a mobile-money payment through your own merchant account, and confirms instantly. Medjay is never in the money path and takes 0% commission on the bookings you win yourself.

A channel manager keeps rates and availability in step with the OTAs you still want, and guests can look up, view and cancel their own booking with a surname and a confirmation number — without a phone call to the desk.

A real night audit, and 35 reports included

Host runs a proper end-of-day: the business date rolls, the day is reconciled, and the night's statistics are frozen so a figure you reported last Tuesday still reads the same next year.

On top of it sits a 35-report suite, filed by the question it answers rather than the module it came from — today's desk, the guests in the house, money and settlement, rooms and servicing, the book, groups and events, where business comes from, and the night's close. Every report exports to PDF, Excel or XML, generates on demand to your own drive, and every one of them is included. There is no reporting paywall and no per-report upgrade.

Finance an owner can actually read

Occupancy, ADR and RevPAR where you expect them, and a USALI departmental profit-and-loss underneath — actual against last year and against budget, day, month-to-date and year-to-date. Up to three currencies with a live central-bank rate feed, a configurable multi-authority tax engine, cashiering shifts, and payroll by currency and type.

Card details are held in an encrypted vault with the CVV never stored, reveals capped and logged, and the record purged after departure.

Built to be handed the keys

Permissions fail closed. There are 57 separate rights, and if a new feature is ever left unprotected the app refuses to start rather than quietly exposing it — the check runs at boot, not at review. Accounts look after themselves too: one unused for 31 days suspends, passwords rotate at 45 days, and a new password cannot recycle the edges of the old one.

Every consequential action — payments, refunds, deletions, licence changes — is written to an audit trail only an administrator can read. Sessions expire on their own and can be revoked centrally, so a leaver or a lost device is closed off from the front desk rather than chased.

And your data is protected twice over: an encrypted offsite copy, plus one designated local drive you choose at handover — deliberately one, so there is never a question about which copy is the good one. A full year of a property restores from a single-digit-megabyte file.
